Bash arrived to the sanctuary along with seven other pigs after being abandoned in a pasture in the lava flow evacuation area during the Kilauea eruption in 2018.

Bash and his friends were not used to be handled much before arriving to the sanctuary, but they have all turned into sweet and friendly pigs. Bash is still a little bit shy, but if we approach slowly and let him know we mean no harm, he will lay down and and let us rub his belly.
