Greta arrived to the sanctuary in May 2018 after being evacuated during the Kilauea volcano eruption. She, as many other farmed animals, were being left behind to fend for themselves, and would have perished if it wasn't for a group of people volunteering to help bring these beings to safety.

Greta shares pasture with her friend Velvet. She normally prefers to greet visitors from a distance, but may come up and say hi if there are treats involved. Greta has a voice that can wake up the dead, when she moos it sounds like we have dinosaurs on our front porch!
