Jacqueline arrived to the sanctuary along with seven other pigs after being abandoned in a pasture in the lava flow evacuation area during the Kilauea eruption in 2018.

Jacqueline and her friends were not used to be handled by humans much before arriving to the sanctuary. The first few days after her arrival Jacqueline and her friend Zora were hiding in the tall grass and wouldn't even come out to eat. That is very hard to believe these days! Jacqueline is as sweet as they come, she is super friendly and loves attention and belly rubs.
